New SFP-H monitor series provides innovation and flexibility for broadcasters, sports and other advanced production applications – with IP connectivity.
Plura Broadcast, a global manufacturer of high-performance digital broadcast and video production solutions, Plura unveils the NEW FUTURE PROOF SFP-H, Hybrid Monitor Series, supporting Coax, Fiber & IP at the 2019 NAB Show.
The Plura SFP-H series brings the exceptional built-in feature set Plura monitors are known for, maintaining quality and performance to give production facilities an edge within the new IP monitoring workflow.
The SFP-H is integrated with powerful H/W & S/W platforms to support Coaxial 3Gb/s BNC I/O connectivity, Coaxial SFP I/O connectivity, IP SFP+ over Fiber decoding “ST-2110 & ST-2022” with Third-Party H/W decoder and the NEW PIPM “Plura Software Stack IP Platform”. The new PIPM is integrated and optimized with Ember+ and ability to automate and provide Smart Service Telemetry Platform on the display. i.e. smartSCOPE or any other third-party telemetry platform.
The main objectives of this product is to process, monitor and analyze multi-Format signals including IP streams directly on the monitor without using external hardware such as converters or Gateway to convert different type of signals into a base-band coaxial HD signal before the monitor.
The innovation of this product is a combination of multi-Core powerful H/W and S/W platforms to adapt and process multiple protocols.
The SFP-H monitor series will be available in multiple sizes starting from 17″ all the way to 84″. The SFP-H is integrated with powerful H/W & S/W platforms to support Coaxial 3Gb/s BNC I/O connectivity, Coaxial SFP I/O connectivity, IP SFP+ over Fiber De-Encap “ST-2110 & ST-2022” with Third-Party H/W.
SFP-H with PIPM option will the enable Plura monitor to interact with Lawo or any other Ember+ compliant control systems. The monitor will provide Smart Service Telemetry Platform on the display. i.e. smartSCOPE or any other third-party telemetry platform.
Ember+ is an open source control system that was initiated by Lawo Group. The Ember+ control system is widely utilized and implemented in many broadcast facilities at different levels in our industry. Based on multiple requests we now can confirm that Plura PBM-3G, PBM-4K & SFP-H monitors have an Ember+ control module option. This option can be fitted with the purchase of the monitor or field fitted at later time. This option will all allow Plura monitors to interact with Lawo or any other Ember+ compliant control systems.
“Plura is proud to introduce the first IP monitor in the market, we have worked closely with many IP 2110 broadcast-centric projects and we have tailored our monitor series design towards various IP workflows.” said Ray Kalo, president, Plura Broadcast. “By introducing the new SFP-H, it is our committed to the IP 2110 & 2022 long term initiative and planning. The wide range size of SFP-H monitor solutions is definitely proven to suit any studio or mobile production workflow, and will be valuable to our customers that lack affordable options.”
Plura Broadcast will have the entire SFP-H Series on display including the new PIPM and Smart Service Telemetry Platform at the 2019 NAB Show at the Las Vegas, taking place on April 8–11, Booth N 2816.
