FOX/SPORTS Mexico Relies on Plura Broadcast to Build its Brand-New Full HD File-Based Production Facility.
Phoenix- June 1, 2010 — Fox Sports and Fox Sports+ Mexico network is now originating its popular sporting programming from a new high-definition production facility in México City, assisted by extensive and large quantities & varieties of 3Gb/s HD monitors from Plura Broadcast®.
The facility is designed to facilitate a totally tapeless workflow that features multiple Plura HD 57” monitors in production rooms and HD production studios. Several 24” & 17” HD monitors were also deployed in each production client workstations which offers 24/7 automated distribution of Fox Sports & Fox Sports+ Latin America programming. Fox Sports chose Plura high quality Broadcast LCD monitors due to its superiority in maintaining consistent LCD Colormetry Technology in every size Plura monitor across the entire facility starting from acquisition, production, and play-out technical departments, which include editing, browsing, playback, server and storage, and archiving stations.

The massive broadcast facility project is the first true full HD broadcast facility currently under development in Mexico. The project is being carried out in two phases. Phase I of the project included multiple sizes screen monitors of the PBM-3G, PBM-S, DBM, PBM-X and PBM series product line.

Phase II of the project saw the additional large & medium size monitors of the PBM-3G & DBM series to support two new HD production studios that are now fully operational.
